TINY ATHLETES (AGES 4–6)

The Right Start Matters

Not Babysitting. Not Chaos. Real Development Done Right.

At Catalyst, Tiny Athletes is where it all begins.  This isn’t unstructured play or random activity.  It’s a purpose-driven introduction to athletic development designed specifically for young athletes.

We build the foundation early so everything that follows is stronger.

WHAT WE FOCUS ON

At this stage, development matters more than intensity.  Every session is designed to improve:

  • Running, jumping, landing, and changing direction
  • Coordination and body awareness
  • Balance and control
  • Listening and focus
  • Confidence in movement

We use structured games, guided challenges, and age-appropriate coaching to teach these skills the right way.

HOW WE COACH

FUN is a byproduct of the process and progress.

Our environment is:

  • Structured, but engaging
  • Supportive, but disciplined
  • Positive, but purposeful

Athletes are encouraged to:

  • Try their best
  • Listen and follow direction
  • Stay focused
  • Respect coaches and others

Because habits start early.

WHY IT MATTERS

The early years are critical.  This is when:

  • Movement patterns are developed
  • Confidence is built
  • Attitudes toward effort, feedback and setbacks are formed

Do it right now and everything improves later.

WHAT MAKES CATALYST DIFFERENT

Most programs at this age focus solely on just keeping kids busy.  We focus on:

  • Teaching movement properly
  • Building real coordination
  • Developing focus and discipline early

No gimmicks. No chaos. No wasted time.  Just real quality coaching at the right level.

WHAT A SESSION LOOKS LIKE

Every session is structured and purposeful:

  • Warm-up & movement preparation

PARENT FAQ

Is this just a play-based program?

No.  While we use games and challenges, every activity has a purpose.  We are teaching movement, coordination, and foundational athletic skills in a structured environment.

Is it too intense for young athletes?

Not at all.  Training is 100% age-appropriate.  The focus is on learning, confidence, effort and development not intensity.

Will my child still have fun?

Yes, but not by accident.  Fun comes from:

  • Learning new skills
  • Gaining confidence
  • Feeling success and progress

We don’t rely on chaos to create enjoyment.

Do parents stay during sessions?

Parents are welcome to watch, but athletes participate independently.

This helps develop:

  • Confidence
  • Focus
  • Listening skills

What if my child is shy or new to this?

That’s completely normal.  Our coaching approach is:

  • Supportive
  • Patient
  • Encouraging

We meet athletes where they are and help them grow.

How is this different from other programs?

Most programs at this age focus on keeping kids busy.  We focus on:

  • Teaching movement properly
  • Building coordination early
  • Developing positive habits

That foundation makes everything easier later.
